I HAD BEEN SEARCHING FOR THESE CHOPSTIX FOR QUITE AWHILE. THEY WERE ON AN EPISODE OF JON & KATE PLUS 8. I RECEIVED THEM TODAY AND THEY ARE JUST ADORABLE. I ORDERED THRU ANOTHER COMPANY BUT SHOULD HAVE WENT THRU AMAZON AS THEY WERE LESS $. I ALSO THOUGHT IT WAS GOING TO BE A HUGE SET AS PICTURED NOT EVEN NOTICING THAT IT SAID 1 (ONE). IN ANY CASE THEY ARE EXCELLENT AND MY 3 YR OLD LOVES THEM...AND SO DO I!!! I AM GOING TO ORDER EXTRAS AS PARTY FAVORS FOR MY SONS 4TH BIRTHDAY PARTY.

My kids (age 6 and 4)were always wanted to use chopsticks when the adults did, but they didn't have the dexterity. These are fun and easy to use. They can even pick up a single grain of rice easily with the Zoo Sticks. They love them. I've also given these out as gifts to their friends. Dishwasher safe and highly recommended!

These chopsticks are one piece with square cross section sticks (flat surfaces - easy to grip food) and made of a melamine-like substance (dishwasher-durable, but don't grind it up and mix it into baby formula, obviously) and are easy for 2-4 year olds to use to pick up bite size pieces of food. We got the bear and giraffe and both the chopsticks and decoration have held up fine in the last year or so.
I had a better, "hello kitty" version of chopsticks from a Japanese import store with rubber loop for the thumb on one stick and loops for the index and big finger on the other stick, that was 5 stars until we lost it, otherwise these would be 5 stars also.
Either way, if you have picky-eating toddlers, we've found it effective to issue them chopsticks and toothpicks to make eating more fun. These sticks are durable/colorful/visually interesting, take a beating/bending and were reasonable in purchase price.

The description does state "ONE ITEM" but then it states "ASSORTED." I wasn't exactly sure how many I was going to receive. I was hoping by how much I was paying that it would be more than just one, but one it was. I would have called to confirm, but I ordered on a Sunday. Will know better next time.

Fun and Easy to UseNov 05, 2007
My kids (ages 4 & 5) really like to use these cute chopsticks especially when we order Chinese food. We have the starfish and some other one (can't remember) but both are in high favor with the kids. I've run them through the dishwasher several times and they seem fine. The hinges are strong but flexible enough for tiny fingers to squeeze close. You can choose various colored see-through plastic animals that you normally will not see incorporated into chopsticks. Really a good idea and worth the money.
