Webkinz PetsMar 18, 2007
By Andrea B. English Webkinz Pets are an excellent choice for a child who wants to use the internet and a parent who values internet safety. The pets are adorable and my children are addicted! Fun for parents too!

Webkinz Lil Kinz Grey CatOct 09, 2007

My daughter loves Webkinz, which allows children to link up to its website and play in a fairly safe online environment. We couldn't find the grey cat in stores here, so snapped it up once we saw it at Amazon. She goes on Club Penguin too, and I actually prefer Webkinz as a site. She's late-elementary age, so I'm comfortable with her doing this. Is it educational? No, though it does give children experience in the online worlds that will only grow in the future.
Webkinz Lil Kinz Grey CatMar 06, 2011
By Lette85 My daughter had received one as a present about a year ago, and she had taking it everywhere she went. She also decided to de-stuff part of it but yet still carried it around like it was brand new! She didn't care she wanted that cat anywhere she went. She would fight to go to sleep unless she had her cat. I wanted to get her a new one and get the old one fixed but since she wouldn't give up the old one I had to search for the exact same one! Anyways, I bought her this and now she carries them BOTH around. Not letting go of the old nor the new one. Lets hope she keeps the stuffing in the new one! She's 3 btw. Very cute kitty, would recommend it for children.

Webkinz are great. Not only do you get a cuddly soft toy to snuggle and play with, you also get a computer game. Granted, you do have to let your child get on the internet and set up an account but it is free. The kids then have a virtual pet to take care of and play with. They play games, many of which have some sort of educational value or at the very least help with gross motor skills. By playing the games, they earn kinzcash which they can then use to buy food, clothing, and decor for their pets room. They can also save up enough kinzcash to purchase additonal rooms or even a yard to play in. There are "chat rooms" with pre-programmed phrases so they can play with friends online or make new ones without the threat of predators--no personal information can be exchanged there is just no option for that. The only draw back is that the online game is only free for a year and then you do not have access to your pet any longer unless you purchase additional toys. This does not seem to be an issue since your child will want more than one!
Kids Love WebkinzJan 28, 2009
By Bennie R. Grimes I bought this toy for my 11 year old grandaughter and she loves it. I call her Kitten from time to time, so it seemed appropriate. She has an account at the Webkinz website that gives her hours of entertainment and this cat is a great addition to her collection.
