My kids don't have allergies but I still love that the Pluffies are machine washable. It's a little bigger than your average beanie baby. All parts - like eyes and nose - are sewn on so there are no small parts that could come off and become a choking hazard. The fabric is soft and the toy is just the right amount of "floppy" to snuggle with and take everywhere.

I wanted to share that our Pursley has eyes sewn on with thread instead of buttons (ordered in January 2011), so that choking hazard has been removed. Love this kitty - he is so soft and cuddly :)

My daughter received one of these cats when she was born and since day one it's been her favorite. I ended up buying three more in case hers got lost and have rotated them all so they wore equally. She's three now and "cat-cat" goes everywhere, needless to say there is always at least one in the washer so I'm glad we have multiples. This toy has seen it's share of abuse and has really held up to the wear and tear. So far they're not showing any signs of wearing out but I'm ordering a couple more just in case. As you wash them they get a little less 'plump' but they wash and dry really well.

This is my daghter's favorite toy. She named it Cutie Kitty. When I realized she loved it, I bought 2 extras, but somehow she could identify her favorite from the 3. Now it's old and gross, but she still loves it. It came out of the washer ok. If you buy a couple, alternate them often, so they wear evenly!

I bought this for my 2 year old for Christmas. He loves it. Very cute and perfect size for him. I've put it through the wash a few times and has come out just fine.
