My daughters had loved these until we did research on their safety and found out that any product made by TY is made with LEAD PAINT. They have been asked to seize their use of lead paint in manufacturing their Ty stuffed animals, but they have continuously refused.
Unless you want your kids to have continued exposure to lead into their blood system by coming into physical contact with any Ty or most any toy made in China (research before you purchase or use a toy) that uses lead paint, do not purchase from these types of manufactures. Do your research before buying kids toys. Lead is a serious toxin and causes brain damage among other issues to humans, especially to children. Lead retards mental and physical development and reduced attention span. It can also retard fetal development, even at extreme low levels of exposure to lead.

These are really great. They look like the characters, they're a nice, big size (for Beanie Babies) and they seem pretty sturdy. No complaints here.

The set was great. After less than a month of my daughter playing with them, the seam on one of Tyrones' arm came loose exposing the filling. Contacted seller "margiottalaw" three times to see if they can send a replacement, but there wasn't a single reply to me request. Extremely disappointed with this seller.

My 3-year-old loves these. Christmas morning, he bypassed many of his other toys to exclaim, "I got ALL the Backyardigans!" Nice set.

I was happy to get these because I had been reading a backyardigan book to my grandson on skype. He wanted it all the time and would talk to the characters in the book. So now we have the characters to talk to and it is great. They are colorful and seem to be well constructed.
