This character is fairly sturdy and my 2 year old (almost 3) plays with it. He enjoys that the arms and legs move, but hasn't been able to take apart the toy yet. I think it is better for him than toys with more moving parts.

Do yourself a favor and buy the Vintage version of Ponda Baba instead of this one. It's a lot better and has a removable arm. You can find the vintage version here: Star Wars 3.75 Vintage Figure Ponda Boba
