this is a great toyJul 19, 2005
By Laureado A. Ortega Iam really surprise to what people had said about this toy, and is really understandable in a way, if you dont have a history in collecting 12 inch action figures all you will see in the clone trooper is a doll with a white armor on,first of all the sculpting is magnifisent, the detail in the armor is the best to date, it doesnt look big on figure, like its predecesors, the new articulations on this baby are out of this galaxy, the head can move up, down and sideways with an ease that is almost scary, articulated fingers, and a perfect paint job, that makes this loyal soldier a must have,is really a shame that the picture posted everywere does so litle justice to the toy, if you can buy it now!!, and is more my opinion that this action figure is somehow more directed at a adult collector group, rather than for kids

"COMMANDER, EXECUTE ORDER 66". "YES MY LORD"Aug 03, 2005

Wow! Star Wars Revenge of the Sith! What a great movie. The clone wars come to a close and so does the Galatic Republic. The Empire and Darth Vader are born. Wow. Now that Hasbro has made the official announcement that they will no longer produce 12" figures this Clone Trooper is one of their final hoorahs! I have many Star Wars 12" figures but this is one of the finest. It seems they have used the same body that was used for the Star Wars Trilogy Collection Stormtroopers that cost much more than this figure. The articulation is good and the detail is as good as the collector Stormtroopers but using the cool armor as seen in Revenge of the Sith. Sadly the photo does not do the figure justice. I got mine from Amazon yesterday. They used a huge box with padding and the figure AND the plastic box were perfect. Under $20.00 for this figure is a steal! Really. I don't see these in the stores anymore and when the run is over they will be collector items. I display mine with the 12" Clone Trooper from Attack of the Clones and the Stormtrooper mentioned above (kind of history of the Stormtrooper) and people who see them just say, "Wow, that's cool." And it is. Thanks again Amazon. A great buy. Honest.

Decent clone trooperJul 30, 2005

"Roger!"
The frame work of this clone trooper is based on the modern Hasbro GIJoe body system. Covered in a black fabric jumpsuit and flexible vinyl/PVC armor. Due to the flexible nature of the soft armor, they tend to shift and rotate as they sleeve over the arms and legs, as well as attachment by velcro on the shoulder pads. Because the figure does not feature complex 2 pivot joint systems for its elbow and knee, the articulation is not as dynamic as it could be when compared to more refined bodies like collectors-grade BBI and DragonModel Limited bodies. Nevertheless, the figure is still quite posable in standing positions. On the plus side, the simplified design as well as the softer plastic used makes this figure highly durable.
Another issue I found slightly annoying is the Hasbro jointed bendable finger system. Mine dosen't grip very well. it has trouble holding up the blaster that came with the figure, as well as any other scaled firearm which I tried to pose the figure with. I ended up glueing down the 3-finger piece so it is in a tight position leaving the index finger free to bend around triggers or pistol grips. That helped a lot in securing a weapon in place.
Helmet detail is decent, with nice plastic compatible paint for a drable finish that can stand up against play.
The included blaster is made from rigid plastc of single piece construction. Molded on underslung stock that is not fold out, but holds nice decorative details. The blaster also lacks the double front sight loops, as well as a plasma discharge nozzle.
The head is removable with some forcing. The large peg on the neck stump will accept replacement heads compatible with 5/8" pegs. 21st Century replaceable heads work well. Some shaving to enlarge the neck hole may be necessary to get it to fit on the clone trooper neck.
All in all a decent value with lots of customizing potential for the Star Wars enthusiast.

Nice movable figure, Drops gunJun 18, 2005
By Mom2Boys Quality figure which is easy to move into different positions. Stands well. He does not hold the gun well, which my son found frustrating. I used some sticky putty to adhere it to the hand. I just got it today, so I can't speak for durability. It feels like it has a boy barbie body under the uniform, which seems like it would hold up.

By David A. Abel My son received this figure and loves it. It is very durable and he uses his imagination to continue the Star Wars Series. Great Toy
