4Not the best or the worstNov 26, 2004
By James Gray
This set wasn't that bad, but Wizards of he Coast printed too many making it lose value and popularity. Due to that fact you should be able to buy the cards for a little more than the retail price ($1.50 per booster).

This set also has very few cards in it compared to the more recent Magic expansions. Rather than have a large veriety of cards in the set, many cards are printed with more than one picture. If you buy a box of boosters you will get every card in the set and several extra commons. The set's small veriety of cards resembles Arabian Nights and Antiquities.

This set is a lot better than Homelands and the Dark, but it isn't one of the best sets either. The best cards in the set are the commons. Hymn to Tourach and Goblin Grenade are the best cards in the set and they have four pictures each, so you will probably get around 16 of each of them in a box.

3Don't stock upAug 20, 2006

Maybe buy one or two packs to get some low-powered creatures, but don't expect a whole lot out of this series. There are 187 unique cards, most of which are 3 or 4 variations on one card. If you buy more than a few booster packs, you'll likely get repeats. There are 121 commons and 66 uncommons, most of which arn't that great. These boosters cost $1.50 when they first came out, and now they're on par with normal boosters (they wern't even worth the $1.50), so just buy a normal booster.

4Card Magic GaloreMar 14, 2004
By Mr. Edward Jg Botha
Although not as powerful or well known as more present day cards,
Fallen Empires is still a must have for players of the popular game Magic the Gathering TCG.

With interesting spells and nice enough creatures, this series is great for your collection and if you're looking too spice up
your collection with a few goldie oldies.

4Great for weenie decksJul 30, 2004
By C. Bedford Crenshaw "the Rebel Rockhopper"
My infancy in Magic was highlighted by Fallen Empires. All in all, it's not a bad set. Hymn to Tourach, Order of Leitbur, and the Order of the Ebon hand are the highlights. if you are a casual fan or a fan of weenies, you want some. If you are a hardcore tourney player or like "fatties", then you want to look elsewhere.

2only for colecting the actual packNov 08, 2008
By G. Grimes "Riverton Renovation"
ok, i have major issues with ppl buying these packs

1. you can get packs waaayyyy cheaper on ebay, and various mtg sites

2. you can buy a complete set of fallen empires for 30-40 dollars anyway

3. there is not 1 card worth money in this set

4. only buy this item if you want to keep the pack unopened
