Lots of fun, but difficult to use...Jul 23, 2008
By Kelly Evans My daughter loves these molds, the treats look really neat once they are frozen. However, I have had problems each time I've used them (which has been about 3 times) with leaking, I don't know if I'm doing something wrong or my set is defective in some way, but all of the molds leak once I pour the liquid mix into them. I have to put down paper towels in my freezer to sop up what leaks out while they are freezing not to mention rush to the freezer once I have them full. Also, be sure that the molds are on a very flat shelf in the freezer, if they tilt at all the leaking will be even worse. Some of the shelves in my freezer have ridges in them, which created another problem for us. I tried "nesting" the molds together for freezing like the instructions recommended, but mine won't stay together. The penguin handles are cute, but I think would work better if they were longer. We tried one of the recipes that came with the molds, the Dripless Zoo Pops made with Jell-O and they turned out really yummy. Since my daughter enjoys them so much I will keep using them...and cleaning up sticky messes in my freezer!

Animal Shaped Ice PopsAug 17, 2008

We ordered this product based on an article we found in a parenting magazine. My kids are WILD for animals, so I thought it would make for hours of fun. When we received the item in the mail, we found that each animal is a "mold" -- you close the mold with snaps found around the outside, then pour in the juice, place the "stick" in the top, freeze, and viola! My kids were excited to find different juices around the house for the different animals -- vanilla soy milk for the polar bear, orange juice for the lion, etc. When the ice pops are frozen, just run under warm water for a bit, open the snaps, a gently wiggle out the ice pop! It even comes with a recipe book!
CheapSep 06, 2011
By Reuben Rodriguez Not a easy way to open it or get it unfrozen to release it its a real mess to work with.
Terrible qualityJun 24, 2011
By Zheka212 These molds leak no matter what you do to them -- my freezer is covered in juice. Another issue is the size -- the popsicles are huge (too large for a child), and melt before my daughter eats even half of one. The handles are too short for a comfortable grip.
The idea is wonderful, but the manufacturer failed to execute. Go for something smaller and simpler.

The winner of this basket loved making these with her mom! Exceptional quality item! I hope to buy another set for myself.
