Awesome in a box!Apr 17, 2010
By Melissa Lenhart I'm Melissa's son, Ray ( I forgot to mention that in the Dare review).I'm a Halo junkie, even though I'm not a big fan of Halo Wars this action figure is great. It is a great sculpt and so are the weapons. He is as tall as the ONI Operative Dare figure and is pose able in every way.The only problem is the trigger guard on the shotgun is a little big.Oh and if his eyes are looking to his right thats ok, its on all the figure sculpts.A nice gift for a Halo fan such as myself.

Generic, hyper-masculine, power-armored space marineAug 23, 2010
By D. Yoneshige I'm a casual collector of toys, and in spite of the issues I've encountered in McFarlane's line of Halo figures, I must say that they're still well-articulated, poseable figures with very nice sculpts. I'm not a huge fan of the games, but I do appreciate the aesthetics. Ironically, I very nearly despise the games--although that may have more to do with the..."culture"...surrounding the games these days (among other things). But I digress.
As seems to be the case with most figures from the seventh series, the quality on Sergeant Forge is excellent. There is virtually no slop on the phenomenal paint job, the sculpt is highly detailed (and it meshes well with the articulation), and the articulation (in spite of a couple of issues) is quite nicely done (not too tight, not exactly floppy, even after a few weeks of posing him).
Forge has a functioning thigh holster for his sidearm (which is a very nice touch, but be careful when messing with it or the retention strap could break), and there are two pegs at his back for the fragmentation grenades. The shotgun is much larger, much beefier than previous molds, and simply looks spectacular.
There are only two issues that I have with Sergeant Forge:
1) As has been mentioned, his eyes are painted in a way so that it looks like he is looking off to his right side. In spite of this, I've managed to snap a few interesting or amusing photos.
2) He can't hold any rifles. For some reason or another, the sculpt and/or the articulation makes it almost impossible for him to properly shoulder the included shotgun--or, indeed, any two-handed firearm accessory. This, coupled with the eyes, makes it implausible to pose him with said firearm accessories. However, he is somewhat capable of holding the shotgun in something resembling a "ready" position, so it's not a complete loss.
On the whole, Forge is a great figure, even with his shortcomings, and I would heartily recommend him to anyone looking for a, well, "generic, hyper-masculine, power-armored space marine."

By C. McQuiston Im carols grandson and I got this figure a week early and when i opened the box i was amazed by how much detail there was. Hes as tall as other marines such as ONI Officer Dare, Sgt. Johnson, UNSC Marine, etc the magnum is great with its holster and the shotgun is detailed as well. So far Forge is my favorite figure out of my huge collection
