5Love the Golden Gogos!Apr 16, 2011
By maureen fennell
Purchased these for my son who has just started to collect the Gogo Crazy Bones. There are several different games that you can play with the Gogo's and all are a lot of fun! These Golden Gogo's are very nice! Shipping was fast and this toy is becoming more and more popular....ordered the Golden tin here because I couldn't find it anywhere else. They also have a great website and good facebook community started! These Golden Crazy Bones are a must for any collector!

5What are Gogo's and why are the gold ones so specialMay 11, 2012
By Brian A. Roush
My son was on a mission to find these, though I'd never heard of them before. He and his friends were playing them at school, but since he had none, he was feeling left out. On the surface, they don't do anything, but there are several games you can play with them. They are plastic and/or rubber figures, each shaped and painted uniquely, with around 80 in each "series" to collect. Not only that, but each of the 80 are featured in 5 colors, plus there's also the "Wanted" and "Most Wanted" color patterns for some as well. There are also special versions that come in either silver or gold tins. These are in addition to the regular series. Gogo's also has a website that explains the games, provides a collection tracker, has online games and printouts.

Gold tin details:
The Gold tin is supposedly the most rare, however the Gogo's you get in it are always the same from tin to tin. These figures are all hard plastic and a large portion of each of them is painted with a golden chrome paint. They do look pretty cool. I would be more cautious with these because they do sell at a premium and I could see the gold paint chipping while playing the games with them. The tin is a step above the silver tin in that they are fitted inside of foam cutouts rather than cardboard.

Games:
-Battle: The regular game is very similar to Pass the Pigs. You throw a handful of Gogo's on the floor or table and score points depending on how they land.

-In-Flight: similar to jacks, you place several on the ground, throw one in the air and try to scoop as many as you can while having to catch the one that was thrown.

-Basket: Like "Cuponk!", you place a small cup or basket and try to bounce your Gogo's into it while keeping score.

-Bowling: You and your opponent set them up in two lines and try to knock down your opponent's figures.

On the Line: Draw a line then stand back. Throw your Gogo and the closest to the line wins.

-Etc: Really, what you can do is limited more by your imagination.

Pricing:
Pricing on these types of toys is always variable, but I found most vendors on Amazon, and even the sets sold by Amazon directly to be overpriced. For instance, with the Gold Tin, I found it locally for $12.99 regular price and $11 on sale. The 3 packs sell for $2. I've also seen 5-packs and 6-packs (which include a carry bag) for sale as well.

How to tell the series apart:
Series 1: Gogo's Crazy Bones (80 characters, 5 colors + 10 characters in "wanted paint theme" + 5 characters in "Most Wanted" paint theme, stickers)

Series 2: Gogo's Evolution (80 characters, 5 colors + transparent glitter color, stickers)

Series 3: Gogo's Explorer (80 Characters, 4 colors + special "lazer" (shiny) color for each, stickers)

Series 4: Gogo's Power (90 characters, 4 colors + 2 metal styles, 10 rare Most Wanted, trading cards)

Gogo's Superstars: Most popular characters from 1st four series(80 characters, 2 colors, "fuzzy effect", 4 "Most Wanted", Gogo's Cube Display)

Gogo's Fusion: Swappable heads that open to store a mini-Gogo (20 characters + 40 mini-Gogo's)

Limited Editions:
Gogo's Advance: Only come in the silver tin box, contains 10 "Special Edition" Gogo's. Assorted tins.
Gold Series, Part 1: Only comes in gold tin, contains 10 "Most Valuable Gogo's". All tins the same.
Gold Series, Part 2: Only comes in gold tin, contains 10 "Most Valuable Gogo's". All tins the same.

Others:
Gogo's Collector Box: Giant size Gogo's that open and serve as storage cases.

Gogo's FA England: Gogo's of 27 of England's best football (soccer) players. 5 Players also have a "Lazer" edition.

Note that Gogo's have been around a long time and previous manufacturers have also produced various other series. All the ones I've mentioned are made by Magic Box Int.

Very beautiful set, surely will be a collector's item. Children love it when they see it. Brought to Brazil where it is not available and it was instantaneous success.

5Provides a Ton Of EntertainmentMar 08, 2012
By S. LORTON
I have three boys (4,6,&8) and got them each a set for Christmas. When they arrived, I was nervous. They are small little figures in a tin box that didn't really do anything. I figured I overspent and they would be bored with these in a matter a minutes. I was totally wrong. These things provide an amazing amount of entertainment. My boys have spent hours and hours playing with and creating games with them. They trade them and do all kinds of things. I still don't get it, but I would definatly spend the money again. My boys LOVE them. The tins are great for storage and this way they don't lose the small figues. Probably some of the best money spent this year.
