Good Toy For My 4 Yr OldNov 01, 2009
By Chris I bought this for my 4 yr old. Its a good toy. The only thing is the black rubber part on the tip of the gun falls off sometimes and it takes a little bit of work to get it back on. Contrary to what others have said about this type of gun, it can shoot upwards. You just barely shoot the gun and get the ball to stick in the rubber part at the tip....then you can piont the gun upwards without the ball falling back.
Not worth itNov 04, 2010
By Stacie Forrester This gun was fun at first, but difficult for my 8 year old to pump on his own. The real trouble came when the black rubber tip on the end of the gun tore, making the gun totally inoperable. So, for the 2 weeks that the gun worked, it was okay.
Weak Camo PopperJul 26, 2010
By C. Mumm A great idea for a toy and great packaging. Unfortuntely, however, the Camo Power Popper isn't very pwoerful at all. Even if you pump extremely hard, risking damage to the toy, the orange balls come out of the popper very softly. It's decent, but I there are better similar procuts on the market. Keep shopping around.
Too hard for little boys to use, cheaply made.Jul 15, 2010
By J. M. Leong We bought this for our 9-year-old nephew, who was very frustrated by it. It takes a lot of pumping to pop out a single ball. Even the adults could barely make it work to rapid-fire balls in succession, and doing so took a lot of effort.
Note there is no trigger. The pumping, or sliding, action alone builds up pressure inside the gun tube. When enough pressure builds, a ball shoots out. It shoots maybe 10 or 12 feet.
I wouldn't recommend this toy. It was too hard for our nephew, and even the adults, to make it work. I really think it is quite a cheaply made toy (we paid $20-something for it) that was probably never really designed to actually do what the packaging says it'll do.
The one plus is that indeed the little balls ARE soft enough so that if you get hit by one, even in the face or if you're not expecting it, it doesn't hurt or startle you.
Only for the strongApr 12, 2010
By Gayle Gayle Tinwail Purchased this for my youngest grandson (age 3), so he could defend himself against two older brothers. He couldn't move the slide operation on the gun to pop a ball out. The 5 1/2 year old brother tried it and also couldn't work the gun. Only the 8 year old could fire the thing, and he wasn't that interested in the toy. The 3 year old would have loved it if he could have fired the soft balls at his brothers.
