You definately cant go wrong buying this. I was told by other mothers online it wouldnt be fun w/out a Bella Sara real horse while online..Hmmm if my daughters playing an online game she isn't playing w/her horse collection. She JUST turned 9 and has been playing for a while now. I'm very picky about anything she plays online except webkinz ect..the games that teach responsibilty, and even math w/out her even knowing she's practicing math (its her hardest subject) also I ALWAYSmake sure IF there is any "talking" thru characters that it is all pre-programed since I'm fearful of the men who pretend they are little girls (yes paranoid mommy lol) Bella Sara has you clean out the stalls, brush and wash the horses feed them and more. Making sure the girls know responsibility. Also they start with gold to use for purchases and quickly learn not to spend it on things they want when they will need some later. I LOVE how it is educational w/out the dryness of all the workbooks I buy.
So-- When this was suggested I decided we would try it. At that time we had no cards or anything.. just the Bella Sara online site and we didnt know you could have all these things since we live in such a remote area. She had a BLAST anyways then wanted some trading cards we saw at a store off the island we live on (no not a nice sunny one.. a nice cold freezing one! yikes!) so I bought her a couple packs to see what the game would be like. We had alot of fun entering the codes to see what surprises she would receive. She ust freaked out happy to see the new horses she owned then and also more gold for the game. Other things as well. There does come a point where if you don't have these cards you can't do certain things. I refused to put my credit card number into the pc to get more & dispite her sadness I didn't feel it fair to do. The way we got around this was going back and doing more challanges.
I saw this box of cards on AMAZON and immediately bought them. When I was paying $3 a pack and this comes with many many packs AND the much coveted shiney card (we've never found one) plus other things I had to look twice cuz it's SUCH A GREAT DEAL!!! This box is FULL of codes and your child will be able to play for a long long time just by you holding onto some of the code cards and letting them use the "coveted" one right away of course and some others. Having them open all the packs is exciting and I also got on AMAZON a Bella Sara trading card book the cards fit perfectly into. Keeping cards as rewards for a Saturday after cleaning their bedroom or whatever makes itmore fun because the excitment of entering the code cards won't be all over with right away.
This game is much more than a game. Had I seen this box set online 2 years ago I'd have gotten it then. DEFINATELY a winner!! I love watching her design her horses and also have the comfort of knowing she's playing a safe game while I do housework or whatever. Also fun to do together.
